RSM CARES FOOD PANTRY

“Come Empty, Leave Filled”

Did you know that RSM Cares serves over 500 families at our pantry distribution site twice a month? We also partner with Age Well to provide distribution to homebound seniors. Every participant will need to register with name, address, number of children, seniors and income level. Everyone is welcome. Individuals will receive fresh fruits and vegetables, non-perishable canned goods, and more.

The Pantry is held on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. Participants will drive through the Shepherd of the Hills Methodist Church parking lot at 30605 Avenida de las Flores, Rancho Santa Margarita, 92688. Visit our event page to see the dates.

Volunteer with us twice a month! Volunteers who are 16 and older are welcome to help from 9 am to 5 pm. Those 13 – 15 are welcome, with a guardian in attendance during distribution from 2 – 4:30 pm. Make your own schedule. Our volunteers can help set up the Pantry, accept or sort donations, distribute food and help clean up. Please get in touch with us for more information.

RSM Food Pantry is a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. We kindly rely on the time, talents, and treasures of our supporters, donors, and volunteers. We could not do what we do without your support. Please consider contributing/supporting RSM Cares Food Pantry. If you would like to get involved, please click on our bell below!

Ongoing Food Drives

Food drives are held throughout the year to help support RSM Cares Food Pantry! ANYONE can drop off a food donation at these various locations and help feed neighbors in need. It’s easy to participate. Having an event? Consider adding a collection bin for non-perishable items. We will help with the arrangements and pickup.

Please stop by our events page to see when and where the next food drive will be. If you’re in the area, stop by and drop off the items you’d like to add to our pantry. Many of our food drives are outside grocery stores like our local Pavilion’s. As you’re shopping, pick up an extra item to drop off as you leave the store. Thank you for being a part of this great initiative. If you have any questions, click our bell.

RSM CARES SENIORS

We love our seniors in Rancho Santa Margarita!

So much so that we decided to team up with local partners and distribute care packages and goodie bags many times throughout the year.

Our volunteers love seniors too! In the past they joined us in gathering such items as toiletries and blankets which made up care packages for our homebound seniors. If you have a heart for seniors also, please click the bell to get started!

Zero Trash Initiative

A clean community is a proud community!

RSM Cares, under the leadership of Brad McGirr, has created the Zero Trash Initiative to gather volunteers on the first Saturday of every month to pick up trash at specific locations. Volunteers meet at 9:45 am outside the Cinépolis (30632 Santa Margarita Pkwy, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688) at RSM Town Center and head to a specific location. We pick up trash from 10 am to Noon.

Local businesses are welcome to sponsor this program showing their commitment to our community. All of our sponsors are here. If you’re interested in supporting this community commitment project, click our bell below to contact us.

2/5 Marine Battalion Camp Pendleton

We support and love our Marines!

RSM Cares understands the commitment of our Marines and the sacrifice Marine families make for all of us. Because of this, we have partnered with Camp Pendleton’s Family Readiness Officer, Team 2/5 RSM, and other local groups to support the needs of our Marines and their families. Our contributions and support include:

· Operation Enduring Freedom Monument at Camp Pendleton

· Deployments and homecomings with snack bags and hand-made cards from residents and children assembled with love.

· Community donations throughout the year for holiday celebrations and other special events.

Please join us in celebrating the men and women of our Marines and their families by providing a touch of love from our community. Click our bell to get involved.

Kids of RSM

Children are the future!

RSM Cares supports the kids of Rancho Santa Margarita and the southeastern portion of Orange County through organizations such as the Boy and Girl Scouts of America and the Boys and Girls Club.

Boy Scout Troop 618 is the oldest in Rancho Santa Margarita. Established in 1990, they celebrated their 25th Anniversary in 2015 at the Bell Tower Community Center. Troop 618 is highly active in our schools and our community.

We support the Boys & Girls Club “Club on the Road” program designed to mentor youth and teens in a safe, supervised, and fun environment through outdoor recreation.

Retirement in 2018 has afforded Jim the time to pursue his talents once again. Greeting cards of his art piece are available for purchase down below.
